It turns out, vacuum cleaners can be romantic too.

A window display, spotted at an electrical appliance store in Southend, features the iconic Henry Hoover taking his girlfriend on a Valentines Day date.

Sharing a plate of spaghetti and meatballs, the two numatic vacuum cleaners look loved up, staring into each others eyes with smiling faces.

The creative window display at Sales Appliances in London Road, Westcliff, is the idea and work of Ashely Sale, who is the store owners son.

The scene is complete with rose petals, candles and a copy of 50 Shades of Grey, which has presumably been read by Hetty Hoover.

It’s not the first amusing and creative window display from the store. They previously set up a nativity scene for Christmas, featuring different Henry Hoovers as the three wise men, Mary, Joseph and Jesus.

The shop also previously put together a New Years Eve display with the red smiling Henry Hoover surrounded by pink Hetty Hoovers at a party.

Since the first Henry Hoover was introduced in 1981, over 7 million have been produced and sent worldwide, from the British factory where they are made.

The owner of the shop says they plan to create a new display featuring the hoovers for other major seasons and events.
