Your Southend Awards

Essex Digital Awards 2014Your Southend has been presented with the ‘Spirit of Essex’ gold award at the 2014 Essex Digital Awards, for ‘displaying outstanding innovation and commitment to taking Essex forward’.

The special award is handed to one winner annually who has gone beyond the call of duty to promote or enhance digital business in Essex.

At the awards ceremony on April 24, Your Southend was also highly commended for use of social media.

Created to reward businesses from across the county for their online initiatives, the Essex Digital Awards awarded bronze, silver and gold awards to local companies for their digital achievements including website design and the harnessing of social media.

In March, entrants were shortlisted down to 45 businesses in 9 categories with judges describing the standard of entries as “highly impressive”, before the winners were revealed at the awards evening.

Other companies who won awards included Essex Auto Group for use of video, Love Lily Rose for online business and Fever Marketing for their responsive Colchester Zoo website.
