Basildon’s Christmas Tractor Run will once again bring colour, light and community spirit to the town on Saturday 13 December 2025. The much-anticipated convoy will set off at 5pm from the New Holland plant on Cranes Farm Road, drawing residents to the streets for one of the area’s most popular festive traditions.
Crowds can expect dozens of New Holland and Ford tractors, each decorated with Christmas displays and thousands of twinkling lights, creating a moving parade of illuminated machinery. The tractor run has built a strong following over recent years, regularly attracting families who line the route through Basildon, Pitsea and Laindon.
Visitors are also invited to arrive early at the New Holland plant, where all participating tractors will be parked and on display before departure.
Hot food and drinks will be available, offering people a chance to enjoy the festive atmosphere up close. However, due to new regulations introduced in April, there will be no public parking at the plant this year.
The tractor run is organised by CNH Industrial, the parent company of New Holland Agriculture. Their Basildon operation is a major manufacturing site, producing a wide range of tractors that are sold across Europe and beyond. The plant has played a significant role in the town’s industrial identity since the 1960s, employing hundreds of local workers and regularly supporting community causes.
Funds raised from the 2025 event will once again go to St Luke’s Hospice, continuing a strong partnership that has already generated significant donations through previous tractor runs and charity activities.
Anyone who owns a New Holland or Ford tractor and would like to join the convoy can register by emailing: alan.beldzik@cnh.com
Organisers are encouraging residents to watch the run from local areas along the route or use nearby public car parks, including:
• Festival Leisure Park
• Basildon Sporting Village
• Pipps Hill
• Pitsea Market
• Pitsea Tesco’s
• Northlands Park
