A collision involving an Amazon Prime heavy goods vehicle and a Smart car has brought traffic to a standstill at the busy Kent Elms junction on the A127. Emergency services are currently at the scene managing the incident.

Motorists are being warned to expect delays on the A127 and surrounding roads as congestion builds.

Frustrated drivers have expressed their concerns about the junction. Local resident Samantha Short said, “I hate this junction. All the people that won’t wait overtake on Bridgewater Drive with the risk of oncoming traffic, just to get to the lights quicker.”

Teresa Parkinson also voiced her frustration, questioning recent improvements to the junction. “How much of OUR money did the council use to improve this junction? Driving is finished… has been for a while.”

Authorities have yet to confirm the cause of the collision, and it is unclear if there are any injuries. Drivers are advised to seek alternative routes where possible.
