The incident was reported to have also involved another vehicle involved in the collision although there were no serious injuries.

A recovery team was dispatched incident to clear the vehicles but the road was closed for a number of hours.

There were long queues behind the incident and on surrounding roads in the Rayleigh area whilst the incident was dealt with by emergency services.

Another witness, Alex Kay, added: “The occupants of the overturned vehicle were both okay thank goodness. I helped them climb out of their vehicle. The paramedics arrived within moments as an ambulance was already travelling just behind the incident.”
