London Southend Airport will have even more exciting routes on offer, with easyJet announcing three new destinations this morning, that are set to delight Essex travellers.
The airline will soon offer direct flights from Southend to Barcelona, Salzburg, and Lanzarote, giving holidaymakers and business travellers more options right on their doorstep.
easyJet has also announced that it will be extending 10 existing summer routes to operate throughout the winter. Flights to Gran Canaria, Enfidha, Malta, Faro, Antalya, Tenerife, Marrakech, Malaga and Palma will now operate all year round, available to book with easyJet holidays.
The newly revealed routes will launch between October and December 2025, with flights scheduled on key travel days to suit both short breaks and longer getaways.
✈ London Southend to Barcelona – from 26 October 2025
✈ London Southend to Salzburg – Seasonal winter service from 6 December 2025
✈ London Southend to Lanzarote – Seasonal winter service from 27 October 2025
While the new routes have been met with excitement, travellers are eager for even more options from their nearest airport.
Andy Skinner shared his wish list, saying he’d love flights to Gibraltar, Berlin, Luxembourg, Dublin, Norway, and Sweden. Meanwhile, Diane Jones is hoping for the return of flights to Jersey, noting: “So many people are asking for this to come back!”
The announcement marks another milestone in London Southend Airport’s revival, as it continues to rebuild its network following industry challenges in recent years. The addition of these new easyJet routes suggests a growing demand for travel from Southend, which is known for its hassle-free experience and quick access from central London via direct train links.

Great news for the return of flights to Lanzarote
Would love Gran Canaria flights over the winter months (over Xmas )
Flights to Bergerac would be great (especially if Ryanair pull out). I know many other people who regularly fly to South-West France and either have to drive to Stansted or Gatwick.
Would love to see jersey and Sweden
Would love murcia( corvera airport)
Shame only easyjet from Southend. That company is a sham.A Flight from gatwick got us to malaga 5 hours late and our connection abandoned us leaving us to make our way to hotel an hour away.Never use that shower of **** ever again.
Please add Ibiza...it was great going from Southend pre-Covid and it's a lovely chilled island with so many memories.
