easyJet are introducing a flight from London Southend Airport to Amsterdam, beginning on 24 May 2023.
There will then be 4 weekly flights in June, September and October. And two flights per week in July and August.
The new Amsterdam route means easyJet will be offering four routes from Southend this year.
John Upton, London Southend Airport’s new CEO said: “This announcement illustrates our commitment to rebuilding our fantastic airport for the future.
“I am delighted that our local passengers, alongside those living close by in East London and the East of England will once again have the chance to travel to Amsterdam using our quick, easy and modern airport. London Southend Airport can offer one of the shortest, fastest routes to Amsterdam; an incredible City to visit.
“We hope that lots of people will see the benefit of a hassle-free route through London Southend to Amsterdam to connect for a long haul flight, compared to flying direct through London’s other crowded airport.”
