The A13 was closed Londonbound today between the Wennington Interchange and the Ferry Lane interchange, following a serious RTC.

The road remained closed for much of the day after the major collision which involved two HGVs.

Traffic was queueing back past the M25 to the A1012 Stifford Interchange, whilst emergency services dealt with the incident.

The London Ambulance Service has sent ambulance crews, members of its hazardous area response team, and an incident response officer.

An air ambulance also landed in a field near the incident scene. Two patients were taken to hospital for treatment.
