Serious RTC in Thorpe Bay leads to road closure & air ambulance response

Thorpe Hall Avenue is closed after a serious road traffic collision involving a car that collided with a tree. Police and paramedics are on the scene, managing the incident and providing necessary care.

In a significant development, an Air Ambulance was dispatched and has transported the driver to the Royal London Hospital. The driver’s injuries are reported to be serious but not life-threatening.

Thorpe Hall Avenue, a key thoroughfare in the area, remains closed as police gather evidence, recover the vehicle, and ensure the area is safe.

The closure is causing some disruption, but authorities emphasise the necessity of it to conduct a thorough investigation.

Essex Police have expressed their gratitude to the public for their patience. The road will reopen once all safety protocols are completed and the scene is cleared.
