Man dies after being stabbed in Westcliff – police launch murder investigation

A man has tragically lost his life after being stabbed in Westcliff in the early hours of this morning, with Essex Police launching a murder investigation.

Emergency services were called to Tintern Avenue at around 4.25am following reports of a disturbance at a residential address. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man suffering from stab wounds.

Despite the determined efforts of paramedics, he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

A spokesperson for Essex Police confirmed: “We were called at around 4.25am with reports of a disturbance at an address in Tintern Avenue. We discovered a man with stab wounds to his body. Despite the efforts of paramedics, the man sadly died of his injuries at the scene.

“We are continuing to make enquiries to establish the circumstances around the man’s death and the individuals involved.”

The incident has sent shockwaves through the local community, with many residents expressing concern about the rise in violent crime.

Sharing his thoughts, Stew Boggis commented: “It’s not the town that’s gone downhill, it’s society and life that has changed. It is happening everywhere, just more in some places than others. Condolences to the family.”

Police have urged anyone with information about the incident to come forward as they piece together what happened in the lead-up to the fatal stabbing.
