Wearing the bright orange pumpkin costume around Southend, he was spotted going about his daily business including walking through the High Street, waiting at a bus stop in Leigh and shopping in Hamlet Court Road.
Courtney Bullock, who works at a fancy dress hire shop, said: “Ken is a wonderful regular here. We never charge him as he brings so much joy to people’s lives!”
A local woman, Dawn Charles, added: “He is so sweet and brings smiles to so many faces.”
And Amanda Ken, who works at a bakers in Leigh-on-Sea, said: “He is the loveliest pensioner. It’s always a joy to see him in our bakers.”
