After a very successful first year, Lazydays festival is set to return to Southend this summer, boasting what may be the biggest lineup of music artists and bands the town has ever seen.
Organisers have announced multiple major names to the line up, making the music and craft drink festival an unmissable event.
Last summer, more than 5,000 people attended one of the four sessions over the weekend, with festival-goers praising it as a fantastic addition to Southend’s event calendar.
Headline acts announced for Lazydays 2025
Capital Radio DJ MistaJam will join Example, Katy B, Ellie Sax, and Mat Format for an electrifying Friday night set.
Mercury Prize winner Badly Drawn Boy and rising indie star Ellur will perform during Saturday’s daytime session, sharing the stage with Lightning Seeds and Embrace.
The Coral have been confirmed for Saturday night, joining Peter Doherty, The Milk, and Pip Blom.
Sunday will see an incredible nine-hour soul music session, headlined by Maverick Sabre, alongside Soul II Soul, Norman Jay MBE, kitti, The Tempo Collective, and Mica Millar.
A second music stage is still to be announced, in a brand-new tent, promising an even bigger and better experience.
Family-friendly fun
Lazydays isn’t just about the music. There will be a variety of family-friendly activities on offer, including circus skills, street theatre, mocktail making, arts and crafts, and more. And children under 11 can attend for free!
The festival, now in its second year, runs across the weekend of 25-27 July, featuring the four sessions mentioned above.
Following last year’s success, demand for tickets has surged, with sales already eight times higher than in 2024.
Organisers promise an unforgettable festival
Lazydays Artistic Director and Southend resident, Elliott Waters, told Your Southend:
“We’re making this year’s festival even bigger and better. We’re bringing some amazing artists to Southend this summer.
“We’re also launching a new VIP area, making every session family-friendly, adding even more free tickets for under-11s, and enhancing the experience with a bigger stage, improved lighting, and spectacular effects!
“Our ethos is about partnering with the community and supporting local artists and businesses. We will have more local crafters and makers, alongside a stage that curates the best local talent and provides a platform for them to perform in front of their community.”
He added: “We’re working hard behind the scenes to make 2025 unforgettable. Supporting independent craft drink producers and local businesses remains at the heart of what we do as an independent festival.”
