Police seeking men after assault left victim with injuries

Police have released images of two men they want to speak to following an assault in Southend that left a man with bruising to his face and arm.

The incident took place in Cecil Court, near to Priory Park at around 9.30pm on Tuesday, 14 January.

Police are urging the public to help identify the individuals, who may have crucial information about the incident.

While face coverings have legitimate uses, concerns are growing over their role in concealing identities during crimes and some people are calling for a crackdown on them.

David Berry, a concerned resident, said: “We’re getting a lot of youth wearing face coverings lately about in the Southend area. Face coverings like this should be banned.”
